Vic Chesnutt, 1964-2009
On Christmas Eve, I saw on Kristin Hersh’s twitter feed that Vic Chesnutt was in a coma. He passed on Christmas. The family said that it was an overdose.
I came to Vic Chesnutt through R.E.M. They appeared on a tribute album for him, Sweet Relief II: The Gravity of the Situation. He’d fall in and out of my consciousness for a few years, although returned again in recent years....
