The All Songs Considered blog asked what’s the most-played song on your computer? This is a somewhat hard question for me to answer. I have three different music libraries: one at home, one on my work laptop, and one on my work desktop.
Home: “Laid” by James, at 42 plays. Well, I do love that song, although I’m never entirely sure why.
Work laptop: “Beautiful Promise” by Paul Kelly, at 34 plays. Sadly, I can’t seem to find this song for you to listen to, so I’ll link to the Paul Kelly song that I would’ve guessed as my most played: “When I First Met Your Ma”.
Work desktop: “Suzanne” by Leonard Cohen, at 2 plays. I mostly only either listen to KQED’s live stream on this computer, or listen to my collection on shuffle, so there were several other contenders for the most-played title. ”Suzanne” was at the top of the list, so it got the honour here.
